Walks in Witton Park

A whole range of events take place in the parks and are open to everyone, including guided walks, family fun activities, conservation days, storytelling, art workshops and music festivals.

There are lots of trails within the park, including orienteering courses and treasure trails. Leaflets for all of these are available from the information point in the pavilion.

Low mobility scooters are available for hire from the visitor centre. The aim is to widen access to the countryside for less able bodied park users. Find out more about the routes.

You can also learn more about cycling trails in and around the park.

The route also links up with a section stretching from the park across Feniscliffe playing fields, to join the Leeds and Liverpool canal towpath, to then lead to the River Darwen Parkway cycle path.

The Beamers Trail is a 6 mile circular walk that begins in the park. This is one of the walks that make up the Witton Weavers Way, a 32 mile borough-wide walk. Leaflets for the four circular walks and the full trail are available from the information point in the pavilion.
