Volunteering

Becoming a volunteer can be personally rewarding and help you to ‘give something back’ to your community.

As a volunteer, you will be giving your time to help others but you will also increase your own confidence and get a sense of satisfaction and achievement. It’s a great way to make new friends, try something new and gain new skills.

Volunteering can also provide the experience and qualifications employers look for. It shows them that you are committed and have employability skills.

If you are interested in volunteering in public services (the Council, the police, fire services, health services etc.), please visit the Lancashire Volunteer Partnership website.

Alternatively, there are other volunteering opportunities available with community and voluntary sector organisations. These can be found on Community and Voluntary Services (CVS) website.

If you feel like you are not quite ready to volunteer and that you need support, please visit the Community and Voluntary Services for Lancashire (SCVL) for more information
